Your account and data
Nem needs an account, and everything it remembers belongs to that account. To export or delete your data, or to close your account, email privacy@trynem.com from the address you sign in with. The Privacy Policy explains what Nem keeps and for how long.
Why Nem asks for access on iPhone
Each permission is asked for when a request first needs it, not at launch, and can be changed at any time in the iPhone's Settings.
- Location — to find places near you, work out when you need to leave, and for location reminders.
- Microphone and speech recognition — when you talk to Nem, or start recording a meeting yourself.
- Camera and photos — only what you choose to show Nem.
- Contacts — to look up a person you ask about. Your address book is not uploaded.
- Calendar and reminders — to answer questions about your day and to make changes you ask for.
Place information
Place searches use Apple Maps on your phone. Opening a place can show opening hours, prices and photos from Foursquare, credited on the page.
